Our Proven Process for a Smooth Transition
We understand that changing caterers may be a new process. That’s why we’ve developed a clear and comprehensive approach to ensure a smooth and successful transition for your school:
Step 1
Initial Consultation
We begin with a detailed consultation to understand your school’s specific needs, priorities, and goals. This includes:
- Dietary Requirements: We’ll discuss any special dietary needs or allergies within your student population and how we can cater to them.
- Menu Preferences: We’ll explore your preferences for cultural considerations.
- Budget and Finances: We’ll work within your budget to create a cost-effective solution that meets your needs.
- Timescales and Deadlines: We’ll establish a realistic timeline for the transition, taking into account any urgent requirements you may have.
Step 2
Comprehensive Proposal
Based on our initial consultation, we’ll develop a tailored proposal that outlines every aspect of our service, including:
- Detailed Pricing and Finance Model: Transparent and competitive pricing and cost structures.
- Sample Menus: Examples of our delicious and nutritious Table d’hôte menus, featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients.
- Theme Days: Information about our exciting theme days that engage students and promote healthy eating habits.
- Staff Training: Our commitment to providing comprehensive training for your existing kitchen staff.
- Health and Safety: Our rigorous health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
- Food Safety: Our adherence to the highest food safety standards.
- Mobilisation Plan: A detailed plan outlining the steps involved in the transition process.
- Sample Contract: A clear and concise contract outlining the terms of our partnership.
Step 3
Presentation and Food Sampling
We’ll present our proposal to your school’s decision-makers, providing an opportunity to:
- Discuss the Proposal: We’ll walk you through the details of our proposal and answer any questions you may have.
- Sample Our Food: We’ll provide delicious samples of our dishes, allowing you to experience the quality and freshness of our food firsthand.
- Q&A Session: We’ll engage in an open and informative Question & Answer session to address any concerns or queries.
Optional School Visit:
To further demonstrate our capabilities, we can arrange visits to one of our existing partner schools. This allows you to see our food service in action, observe our team’s professionalism, and speak with satisfied school leaders and pupils.
Step 4
Support with Incumbent Caterer (If Required)
If you need assistance with terminating your current catering contract, we can provide guidance and support to ensure a smooth and legally compliant transition.
Step 5
TUPE and Staff Transition
We comply with all UK employment law requirements, including the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (TUPE). We’ll conduct TUPE meetings with your existing kitchen staff and manage any necessary pension transfers.
Step 6
Mobilisation and Implementation
Our dedicated team will implement the mobilisation plan, which may include:
- Kitchen Modifications: Any necessary adjustments or upgrades to your kitchen facilities.
- New Staff Uniforms: Providing fresh, professional uniforms for your kitchen staff.
- Comprehensive Training: Thorough training for your staff on our menus, procedures, and food safety standards.
- Taster Events: Organising engaging taster events for parents, pupils, staff, and stakeholders to introduce our food and services.
- Parent Communication: Developing clear and informative communication materials for parents to keep them informed throughout the transition.
Step 7
Launch Day
We’ll be there on launch day with additional Fresh Start team members to ensure a seamless and successful start to our partnership. We’ll work closely with your school to address any initial questions or concerns and ensure a positive experience for everyone.
